Zirconium & Zirconium Alloy Bar and Wire
The zirconium & zirconium alloy bar and wire are manufactured to ASTM B550 covering three grades: Grade R60702: unalloyed zirconium, Grade R60704: zirconium-tin, Grade R60705: zirconium-niobium. The material can be either hot finished or cold finished, often in annealed condition. The Zr & Zr alloy bar or wire may be furnished in round, square, octagon, hexagon or flat shapes. Generally, the delivery conditions include non-descaled, descaled, descaled & pickled, turned, ground or polished.
Definition of Zirconium & Zirconium Alloy Bar and Wire
- Bar: a hot rolled, forged, or cold worked semi-finished solid section product whose cross sectional area is equal to or less than 16 inch2 [10323 mm2]; rectangular bar must be less than or equal to 10 inch [254 mm] in width and greater than 0.1875 inch [4.8 mm] in thickness.
-
Wire: rounds, flats, or special shapes less than or equal to 0.1875 inch [4.8 mm] in thickness or major dimension.
