Temperature Dependence of Tensile Strength of Hastelloy C276
The tensile strength of Hastelloy C-276 (UNS N10276) is temperature dependent: as the temperature elevated, its tensile strength gradually decreases. The ASME BPVC Section II Part D has prescribed a series of tensile strengths of Hastelloy C-276 materials at elevated temperatures which are listed in below table.
*Temp. | -20~100 | 200 | 300 | 400 | 500 | 600 | 650 |
*T.S | 100.0 | 100.0 | 100.0 | 97.7 | 95.7 | 93.9 | 93.1 |
*Temp. | 700 | 750 | 800 | 850 | 900 | 950 | 1000 |
*T.S | 92.4 | 91.7 | 90.9 | 90.2 | 89.4 | 88.5 | 87.6 |
*The tabulated values are applicable to ASTM B366 Gr. N10276 seamless or welded fittings, ASTM B462 & B564 Gr. N10276 forgings, ASTM B574 Gr. N10276 rods, ASTM B575 Gr. N10276 plates, sheets, strips, ASTM B619 Gr. N10276 welded pipes, ASTM B622 Gr. N10276 seamless pipes & tubes, ASTM B626 Gr. N10276 welded tubes.
*All materials shall be solution annealed.
