Heat Treatment & Inspection
Both the ASTM A234 WP22 reducers and caps were heat treated by the method of normalizing and tempering. The normalizing temperature was at 940°C while the tempering temperature was at 740°C. After heat treatment, ultrasonic tests were implemented to ensure the fittings are free of defection.
