Identical with ASTM B658, ASME SB-658 is the standard specification for seamless and welded zirconium and zirconium alloy pipes. It covers three grades: R60702 – unalloyed zirconium, R60704 – zirconium-tin alloy, R60705 – zirconium-niobium alloy. Generally, the pipe shall be furnished in annealed condition. The pipe dimensions shall be in accordance with ASME B36.19.

The standard specification covers referenced documents, terminology, classification, ordering information, chemical requirements, materials and manufacture, tensile requirements, permissible variations(tolerance) in dimensions, workmanship, finish, and appearance, significance of numerical limits, tests and retests, test methods, inspection, rejection, certification, referee, product marking and packaging.
