Applicability & Maximum Temperature Limits
The titanium grade 2 plates shall be manufactured in accordance with ASTM B265/ ASME SB-265. It UNS designation is R50400 which is often furnished in annealed condition. The material can be applied for power boilers (ASME BPVC Section I), nuclear power plant components (ASME BPVC Section III Classes 2 & 3), pressure vessels (ASME BPVC Section VIII Div. 1 & Div. 2), and transport tanks (ASME BPVC Section XII). The maximum temperature limits for different applications are the same: 600°F.
