Applicability & Allowable Stress for Gr.2 Titanium Tubes
Applicability and Temperature Limits
Manufactured to ASTM B338(ASME SB-338), seamless and welded grade 2 titanium tubes can be used for condensers and heat exchangers. According to ASME Boilers and Pressure Vessel Code Section II Part D, they are applicable for the construction of power boilers (Section I), nuclear power plant components (Section III Classes 2 & 3), pressure vessels (Section VIII Divsion 1), and transport tanks (Section XII). The maximum temperature limits for all services are same 600°F.
