AL6XN
The AL6XN alloy is a super austenitic stainless steel with UNS designation of N08367 which exhibits good resistance to a broad range of severely corrosive environments, especially the chloride bearing environments. Compared to Hastelloy C-276 and titanium alloys, it has favourable corrosion resistance in many instances while it is much more cost-effective. AL6XN is a typical 6Mo stainless steel with high nickel and chromium content, as well as deliberate addition of nitrogen & copper(its nominal chemical composition is 46Fe-24Ni-21Cr-6Mo-Cu-N). It has outstanding resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion even at high temperatures.

Applications of AL6XN
AL6XN alloys are widely used in seawater desalination systems, flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems, chemical process vessels and pipelines, seawater heat exchangers, oil distillation columns and packing, offshore platforms, pulp and paper industry, etc.
