ASTM A213 Low Alloy Steel Tubes for Boiler, Superheater & Heat-Exchanger
ASTM A213 is the standard specification for seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy-steel boiler, superheater, and heat-exchanger tubes. Hebei Metals supplies Cr-Mo low alloy steel grades of T2, T5, T5b, T5c, T9, T11, T12, T17, T21, T22, T23, T24, T36, T91, T92, T122, and T911. The tubing sizes and thickness usually furnished to this specification are 1/8″(3.2 mm) in inside diameter to 5″(127 mm) in outside diameter and 0.015″ to 0.500″(0.4-12.7 mm) in minimum or average wall thickness. ASTM A213 tubes of custom-diameter may be furnished, provided such tubes comply with all other requirements of the standard specification. The ASTM equivalent steel grades of A213 can be found in ASTM A335.

4. Inspection and Tests
Tests or inspection the ASTM A213 tube shall take include: tension test, hardness test, flattening test, flaring test, hydrostatic or any alternative nondestructive(NDT) test, dimension inspection and visual examination.
